Erasmus+ Apprentice Mobility App in Flutter
Mona
A Flutter app that follows apprentices through their Erasmus+ mobility abroad, from preparing the trip to coming back.
01 / The problem
Apprentices leaving on an Erasmus+ mobility have a departure to prepare and documents to keep track of. Once abroad they also need to record what they are going through and show the skills they pick up, while the mobility advisors at their apprenticeship center (CFA) follow them from a distance.
02 / What I built
Through Diagoriente, I develop Mona, the EAM Connect mobile app, in Flutter, with one codebase for iOS and Android. Apprentices prepare their departure with a step-by-step checklist, then track the mobility in a timeline and a travel journal with photos, notes and videos. The app also covers skills self-assessment and a document vault for contracts and other important documents. Mobility advisors follow each apprentice remotely from the same app. On the technical side I built in-house Flutter packages, such as on-device video compression so uploads stay light.
03 / Impact
Mona is part of a EUR 25M program backed by France 2030 that involves 43 apprenticeship centers (CFA). It is live on iOS and Android from one shared Flutter codebase. My own contribution comes to 127 commits, with about 162,000 lines added and 93,000 removed.
